Hereford Bluegrass Pick at The Victory

Wed. July 1st!! Same place, same time. It's Katherine's birthday, so will she treat herself and make the picturesque trip up the Wye valley to come and play some of her favourite tunes?? We can only wait and see....

Hey there, English, welcome to UKBluegrass - Perhaps you would care to know that there is a monthly bluegrass session possibly even closer to you (Powys is a big county!) every 3rd Tuesday of the month at The Harp at Glasbury on Wye - and by my calculations, that will be next Tuesday! Mebbe seeya there!

By the way, what do you play? (instrument that is, rather than material).

WE'RE MOVING!! - NEW VENUE FOR 2010 - THE VICTORY, 88 ST OWEN'S ST, HEREFORD HR1 2QD
After just over a year resident at The Barrels, the Hereford Bluegrass Pick will be moving in the new year just 150 yds down the road, to the back bar of The Victory, 88, St. Owen's Street, Hereford, HR1 2QD
This is a fantastic, comfortable space with brilliant acoustics and it, like the Barrels, brews its own beer, which is sold at extremely reasonable prices.

The session will follow the same pattern as was evident at the Barrels - starting at about 8pm on the 1st Wednesday of the month. There is a reasonable amount of on street parking in front of the pub and a free car park just round the corner in Bath Street ( the same car park that served the Barrels) should all those spaces be taken.

The first session in our new venue will take place on Twelfth Night - Wednesday 6th January 2010. Come on down to the Victory and make it a night to remember!!

I know that some of you will be safe in the confines of Kingham Hill School, "Sore Fingering", but for us other mortals who have stayed in the real world ( ),take heart! The Hereford Bluyegrass pick is happening on Wednesday 7th April, in the same place as usual - The Victory, 88 St Owen's St Hereford, circa 8pm. All welcome. Hope to see you there!

Due to what I could only refer to as a 'programming error', the Hereford pick clashes this month with the Bristol one. On the bright side, though, this means you have double the choice this Wednesday, especially if you happen to live midway twixt the two cities.

The down side is that I now won't be able to make it to the Bristol pick and the stalwarts from there are even less likely to make it up to Horrorford than usual.

Never mind, I say... let's all have fun at whichever pick we end up at, as a prequel to the fab time that we are all going to have at the Wharf (note - !*new venue*!) at the weekend.

The Hereford pick is, as usual, on the first Wed of the month (5th May this month) at The Victory, 88 St Owen's St, Hereford, starting around 8pm. Hope to see you!

Phew - I got the notification in a little earlier this month - only 1 day to go! The Hereford Bluegrass Pick is on the runway and will be taking off at approximately 8pm tomorrow, Wed 7th July, at the usual venue! Seeya there!
