Charity Bluegrass Concert for Haiti Disaster - 7th February 1.30pm to 6.30pm Frimley, Surrey

In response to the hardship caused by the massive earthquake that has devastated Haiti, an event is being arranged for Sunday 7th February at Frimley in Surrey. Doors open at 1pm with the bands kicking off at 1.30pm.

Current line up is A Band Like Alice, The Biggin Hillbillies, The Grass Hoppers and Mardi Grass. We await confirmation from one more band.

There will also be jam sessions throughout the afternoon so musicians bring your instruments !

Food and drink will be available, plenty of parking and disabled access. Full address is Frimhurst Family House, Guildford Road, Frimley Green, Surrey, GU16 6NU.

A minimum suggested donation for the day will be £10 for adults, £5 for under 18's and free for under 11's. All proceeds over cost, will go to the people of Haiti through the International Movement ATD Fourth World who have a team of workers on the ground in one of the poorest and hardest hit areas of the country.

To help plan for the number of people expected we would appreciate it if you let us know if you are coming. Please contact Ray Hutchings and Jason French at bluegrassforhaiti@googlemail.com

Thanks for organising yesterday guys. Twas fun! Sounds like a fair amount of money way raised
To Noam Pikelny...'Oh are you in the band?'...a certain relative of mine asks AFTER the Punch Bro's gig....I despair....

Hi All,
Yes, it was an excellent afternoon and the bands were just fabulous. Everyone had a lot of fun and all for a good cause. We raised about 400 pounds for Haiti and had a lot of fun doing it. A big thanks to the bands who made it all possible, A Band Like Alice, The Biggin Hillbillies and The Grass Hoppers. A big thanks also to my co-workers at the Frimhurst Family House who helped with publicity and general organization to make sure the day ran smoothly. Also a big thanks to Ray from the Biggin Hillbillies who allowed the use of his PA system and ran the sound for the day. And of course thanks to all of you who came out for the day.
Thanks a bunch,
Jason
